My wife and I live here in Provo, Utah. Land of the Rocky Mountains and beautiful outdoor adventures! I grow up where I like to call “the other side” or the East Coast but moving here to Utah, 10 years ago this Thanksgiving season, has been wonderful!

I haven’t been to that particular region of the country but had a work friend who grew up around there. He was part Cherokee, as am I, and his family moved to Eastern Oklahoma to be close to relatives there when he was a child. He often spoke of its beauty and going back someday, but unfortunately, he died of Covid before he could make it more than a dream.

Covid affected so many lives. It took my aunt Susie, my mother’s sister. They are seven sisters and Susie was the first of the seven to go. So hard. And yes, it is so beautiful! 🤩 I highly recommend the visit! 🏔️
